Ube Pichi Pichi Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 & 1/2 cup grated cassava
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp lye water
  • 2 tsp ube flavoring
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • ¾ cup grated coconut

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In large mixing bowl, combine the cassava, water, lye water, ube flavoring, and white sugar.
  2. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is well- blended.
  3. Pour the cassava mixture in a small molds then arrange the molds in a steamer.
  4. Prepare steamer and steam for 60 minutes.
  5. Remove from the steamer.
  6. Let it cool down completely until the texture gets close to sticky tikoy.
  7. In a bowl or container, roll each piece of pich pichi over the grated coconut.
  8. Arrange in a serving plate. Serve and enjoy!
