Tortang Dulong Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 kg Dulong (Silver / White Fish)
  • 1 pc egg
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 pc onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Cooking oil, for frying

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a bowl, combine together all the ingredients (except the cooking oil) together to make the fish patty.
  2. Refrigerate the patty for at least 1 hour for the batter to come together and for easy handling.
  3. Take about half a cup and form into a ball.
  4. Flatten the patty and do the same for the whole batch.
  5. Pour and heat the cooking oil in a pan.
  6. Pan fry the patties in batches until golden brown.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer to a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. Serve with steamed white rice with ketchup or vinegar as dipping sauce. Enjoy!
