Pinoy Pork Steak Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 to 5 pcs pork chops
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • Juice from 2 pcs calamansi
  • 1 & 1/2 cups water
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a large bowl, combine pork chops, calamansi juice, and soy sauce.
  2. Mix and marinade for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat a pan then pour- in the cooking oil.
  4. When the oil is hot enough, fry the marinated pork chops for 3 to 5 minutes per side. Save the marinade.
  5. Remove excess oil.
  6. Pour- in the remaining marinade and water.
  7. Simmer until the pork is tender (add more water as needed).
  8. Add- in the sugar, salt, pepper and onions.
  9. Stir and cook for another 3 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
