INGREDIENTS:
- 1 large can cubed pineapple (reserve liquid)
- ¼ cup raisins
- 2 bars red gulaman (or equivalent amount of powdered gulaman)
- 1 large evaporated milk
- 4 cups water
- 1 & ½ cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
HOW TO COOK:
- Tear gulaman bars into small pieces and place in a large sauce pan.
- Add the water, the reserved liquid from pineapples, and sugar then bring to a boil.
- Simmer until gulaman flakes are totally dissolved.
- Remove from heat then add evaporated milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Place in a container or jelly mold then set aside for 5 minutes to cool down (at this stage liquid will be thicker and will start to set).
- Slowly add the pineapples and the raisins.
- Place in the refrigerator.
- Once cool and firm, remove from mold then serve chilled. Enjoy!
