Grilled Pork Kilawin Recipe

You may be familiar with the dish called Kinilaw where meat, more commonly fresh tuna, is soaked in vinegar. In this Grilled Pork Kilawin recipe, we will be using grilled pork instead of tuna. Take note of the link below in case you want to make the best Inihaw Na Liempo for this dish.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg Inihaw Na Liempo
  • 1 medium cucumber, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, minced
  • 1 cup cane vinegar
  • ½ tsp granulated white sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • Siling labuyo, chopped (depends on desired level of spiciness)

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Once your grilled pork belly is ready, chop the into serving pieces. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the vinegar, salt, ground black pepper, siling labuyo, and sugar then mix well.
  3. In a large bowl, arrange the chopped grilled pork, cucumber, and onion.
  4. Add- in the vinegar mixture then stir until well distributed.
  5. Let it stay for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
