INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups white rice
- 5 cups water (or enough water to immerse the rice)
- 15 pcs banana leaves, cut into 6 inches wide
HOW TO COOK:
- Start by washing the rice 2 to 3 times in a bowl (or until the water runs clear).
- Fold the banana leaves to form a cone shape.
- Add the rice to fill half of each cone, then fold the end.
- Arrange the wrapped rice in banana leaves in a pot.
- Put water and make sure all wrapped rice are submerged in water.
- Cover the pot and put in the stove over high heat until it boils.
- Let it simmer over low heat until the rice is cooked.
- Remove from heat, peel off the banana leaves when ready to eat.
- Serve with your favorite dish. Enjoy!
