INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg ground chicken
- 1 large potato, cubed
- 1 large carrot, cubed
- 1 & ½ cup frozen green peas
- 1 can (500 ml) tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 2 pcs dried bay leaves (or laurel leaves)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
HOW TO COOK:
- Pour the cooking oil in a pan and heat.
- When the oil is hot enough, sauté the garlic and the onion until the onion softens.
- Add the ground chicken and cook for 5 minutes, over medium heat.
- Add the tomato sauce and chicken broth then let it boil.
- Add the dried bay leaves then cover and simmer for 35 minutes (add water or more chicken broth if needed).
- Add the carrots and potatoes then stir and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Add the green peas and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir and turn off heat.
- Transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
