INGREDIENTS:
- Bukayong pino
- 2 cups rice
- 1 & 1/2 cup water
- 1 & 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp baking powder
HOW TO COOK:
- Soak the rice in water overnight.
- Grind the soaked rice until you reach a consistency of a thick batter.
- Add the sugar, salt, and baking powder and mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into puto molds until 1/3 full.
- Add a spoonful of the bukayo.
- Cover with more of the puto mixture.
- Arrange in a steamer and steam for 30 minutes or if a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from molds and serve. Enjoy!
