You may notice Coffee Jelly in numerous Japanese restaurants as desserts. But Filipinos definitely have their own take when it comes to this delicious dessert.
You would normally see Coffee Jelly in the menu of about every special occasion like birthday parties, christenings, weddings, fiestas, and many more. If it is not Buko Sago Gulaman Salad or Pink Gelatine, it is going to be Coffee Jelly. Ever noticed that?
Now you may wonder, why so? It is just because making these jelly based desserts are easier than making the other types of desserts like pastries and cakes. You wouldn’t need a long preparation time and you won’t even need many ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 pack unflavored gelatin (you can use Mr. Gulaman)
- 1 pack condensed milk (250 ml)
- 1 pack all-purpose cream or heavy cream (250 ml)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 & 1/2 L water
HOW TO MAKE:
- Dissolve the gelatin in 1 & 1/2 L of water or follow instructions on the packaging.
- Bring to a boil until fully dissolved, then add the sugar.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir- in the instant coffee and dissolve thoroughly.
- Transfer in a shallow container and spread until about 1 inch thick. Set aside.
- When the gelatin sets, cut it into cubes.
- In a separate container, blend the all-purpose cream and the condensed milk.
- Add the gelatin cubes, mix, and refrigerate.
- Transfer into cups, serve chilled.
