INGREDIENTS:
- 4 oz dulong (silver fish)
- 2 cups mung bean sprouts
- 1 & ½ cups cooking oil
For the Batter:
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup water
HOW TO COOK:
- Combine all the batter ingredients in a large mixing bowl then mix well until well incorporated.
- Add- in the dulong and mung bean sprouts.
- Gently stir until all ingredients are well blended.
- Pour and heat the cooking oil in a pan.
- Arrange ½ cup of mixture in a saucer (make sure the there is enough batter in the mixture).
- Once the oil gets hot, slide- in the mixture into the pan.
- Cook one side in medium heat until it turns golden brown and crisp.
- Turn over using a spatula then cook the other side the same way.
- Remove from the pan then transfer to a plate with paper towels.
- Repeat until all the mixture is consumed.
- Serve with spicy vinegar like sinamak. Enjoy!
