Tuna Sarciado Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can (12oz) tuna chunks in water
  • 1 medium tomato, cubed
  • ½ cup scallions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
  • 1 & ¼ cups water
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan.
  2. Once the oil is hot enough, saute the garlic, onion, and tomato until soft.
  3. Add- in the tuna (including the water from the can) and stir.
  4. Cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour the water into the pan and let it boil.
  6. Beat the egg and then pour into the pan.
  7. Let it cook for a few minutes until it starts to form then stir.
  8. Add ground black pepper and the scallions then cook for 2 more minutes.
  9. Pour the fish sauce into the pan.
  10. Add more water if you prefer.
  11. Remove from heat and transfer into a serving plate. Serve and enjoy!
