Tokwa't Baboy Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb grilled pork belly, chopped
  • 5 pcs extra firm tofu
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced
  • ¾ cup chopped scallions
  • 1 cup cane vinegar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Prepare tofu by drying them with paper towels.
  2. Pour and heat the cooking oil in a frying pan.
  3. Fry both sides until the color turns golden brown.
  4. Let the temperature cool down and then slice each piece into smaller cubes. Set aside.
  5. Combine the vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and ground black pepper in a bowl then mix well.
  6. Microwave the mixture for 20 seconds.
  7. Combine the grilled pork belly and tofu in a large bowl
  8. Add the onion and scallions then toss.
  9. Pour- in the vinegar mixture then toss again.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
