Steamed Cassava Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 24 oz grated cassava
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ cup shredded quick melt cheese
  • 5 cups water (for steaming)

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a cooking pot, pour- in the water and let it boil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine grated cassava, coconut milk, butter, eggs, and condensed milk.
  3. Mix all ingredients well using a wire whisk.
  4. Pour the cassava mixture into individual molds.
  5. Arrange the molds in a steamer and steam the cassava cake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the molds with cassava cake from the steamer and let it cool down.
  7. Gently separate the cassava cake from the mold then arrange on a plate.
  8. Top with the shredded cheese. Serve and enjoy!
