INGREDIENTS:
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 pc large potato, diced
- 1 pc small onion, diced
- 1 pc small tomato, diced
- 1 pc medium- sized carrot, diced
- 1⁄2 pc green bell pepper, diced
- 1⁄2 pc red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1⁄2 tsp ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Patis, to taste (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
HOW TO COOK:
- In large pan, saute the ground beef until it is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Place a colander over a bowl then put the ground beef into the colander to drain off the excess oil.
- In the same large pan, pour- in the olive oil and saute the garlic until it turns golden brown.
- Put back the ground beef to the pan and stir the ingredients together briefly.
- Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Add the onions and mix it together. Let this cook until the onions are partially cooked.
- Next, add the ground black pepper, fish sauce, soy sauce, potatoes, and tomatoes, then mix this all together.
- Cover the mixture and simmer over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Taste and add salt and pepper or fish sauce to suite your taste.
- Add the bell peppers and cook for a couple more minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
- Serve with rice and enjoy!
