INGREDIENTS:
- 3 pcs medium sized fish, cleaned
- 10 pcs okra
- 3 pcs small ampalaya, cored and sliced
- 10 pcs sitaw, cut into short pieces
- 2 pcs medium tomatoes, wedged
- 1 & ½ cup squash flower
- 2 cups sili leaves
- 3 cups water
- 2 knobs ginger, sliced
- 1 medium onion, wedged
- 3 tbsp bagoong monamon
- 1 tbsp salt
- ½ cup cooking oil (for frying)
HOW TO COOK:
- Prepare by rubbing salt all over the fish.
- Pour and heat the cooking oil in a pan.
- Once the oil gets hot, fry the fish until the side turns golden brown.
- Turn the fish over and continue to fry the other side until the same color is achieved.
- Remove the fried fish from the cooking pot then set aside on a plate.
- Pour the water in a clean cooking pot.
- Heat the pot and let the water boil.
- Add- in the onions, ginger, and tomatoes.
- Cover and boil over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Stir- in the bagoong.
- Add- in the okra, ampalaya, and sitaw.
- Cover and cook for 7 to 12 minutes.
- Add- in the sili leaves and squash flower then cook for 3 minutes.
- Put the fried fish top.
- Cover and cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
