Chicken Tapa Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 head garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Make a marinade by combining the soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved.
  3. Add the chicken thighs and massage to fully coat with the marinade.
  4. Keep overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Drain meat from marinade.
  6. Pour and heat 1 tbsp of the cooking oil in a wide pan, over medium heat.
  7. Add the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer and cook.
  8. Turn on sides, for about 10 to 15 minutes or until liquid is almost absorbed.
  9. Add another 1 tbsp of oil and continue to cook, turning as needed, until meat is lightly browned.
  10. Remove from pan and cut into serving portions. Serve hot. Enjoy!
