Carrot Yema Balls Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/8 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white sugar

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a large sauce pan, combine all the ingredients.
  2. Turn on to medium heat and cook the yema mixture.
  3. Cook until the yema mixture thickens while constantly stirring and mixing to avoid burning it.
  4. Remove from the heat and transfer yema in a bowl, let it cool.
  5. When the yema is already cool, scoop a small portion and form into balls
  6. Place the yema balls in a plate with sugar, then roll the yema balls to coat.
  7. Shake off excess sugar.
  8. Serve or wrap with plastic cellophane then store it in a jar. Enjoy!
