INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg pork spareribs, cut in 2″ length pieces
- 4 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups cooking oil
For the Batter:
- 1 cup all- purpose flour
- 2 pcs beaten eggs
For the Buffalo Sauce:
- 6 tbsp hot sauce
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
HOW TO COOK:
- Pour the water into a cooking pot, heat, and let it boil.
- Add- in the salt then add- in the pork spareribs.
- Cover and boil in medium heat for 60 minutes or until the meat becomes tender (add more water if needed).
- Remove the pork spareribs from the pot and let the excess water drip. Set aside.
- Pour and heat the cooking oil in a deep cooking pot.
- While the oil is heating up, coat the spareribs in the batter by rolling in the flour then dipping into the beaten egg mixture.
- Dredge it back with flour and then deep fry for 15 minutes in medium heat.
- Remove the deep fried pork spare ribs from the pot.
- Let the excess oil drip then place in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
For the Buffalo Sauce:
- Combining all the ingredients in a sauce pan.
- Apply heat and let the butter melt.
- Stir and continue to cook in low heat for 1 minute.
- Pour the buffalo sauce all over the deep fried ribs, toss, then transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
- Optional: serve with celery sticks and ranch dressing as a dip.
