INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg glutinous rice (malagkit)
- ½ kalabasa (squash), chopped
- 1 heap pandan leaves
- Coconut milk from 7 pcs coconut
- 1 cup water
- 800 g white sugar
HOW TO COOK:
- In a pot, cook glutinous rice or malagkit in water with pandan leaves. Set aside.
- In another pot, boil the chopped kalabasa or squash in coconut milk.
- Add in sugar to the squash mixture.
- Stir constantly until mixture becomes sticky.
- Add the cooked glutinous rice.
- Mix well and stir until mixture becomes dry.
- Spread on a platter lined with banana leaves.
- Let it cool for a while, slice and serve. Enjoy!
- You may opt to add latik on top.
