INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into parts
- 1/4 cup green peas
- 3 cups tomatoes, chopped
- 1 & 1/2 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp patis (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp garlic, chopped
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp onion, chopped
- 2 pcs laurel/ bay leaf
- 2 tbsp canola oil
HOW TO COOK:
- Pour and heat the oil in a pot over medium heat.
- When the oil is hot enough, sauté the onions, garlic, laurel leaves, and tomatoes until tomatoes are softened.
- Add- in the tomato paste and continue to sauté for a minute.
- Pour- in the patis and add the chicken.
- Cook the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes while turning the pieces.
- Pour- in in the water and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
- Add- in the green peas in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Season to taste then remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
