Easy Beef in Oyster Sauce Recipe

Beef in Oyster Sauce Recipe

It is good to learn a new recipe from time to time. It is always nice to taste something new, even when it is just our good ‘ol home cooking.

Here is a beef recipe that I find very appetizing and yet fairly easy to do! It is called Beef In Oyster Sauce.

If you are not very much familiar with oyster sauce, it is a black viscous culinary sauce of Chinese origin. From the word itself, it is extracted from cooking fresh oysters. Company Lee Kum Kee first came up with the sauce, but today there are a lot of brands to choose from, even local ones.

The key to this recipe is to first choose the right kind of meat (and to slice it as thin as possible) to enjoy a tender, juicy finish. Then just follow the rest of the procedure and you will come up with a restaurant quality dish in no time! Learn it here:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb beef tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, cleaned
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp chili, minced
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef, oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, and ground black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Pour and heat the cooking oil in a wok.
  4. Sauté the garlic, ginger, and chili.
  5. Stir fry the spinach then place in a serving plate. Set aside.
  6. Using the same wok, stir fry the marinated beef with the remaining oil for 5 to 6 minutes (or until the color turns brown).
  7. Remove from heat and transfer the beef to the serving plate, on top of the spinach. Enjoy!
