Easy Beef Picadillo Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 3 large Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups water or beef broth
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil, for cooking

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Pour the oil in a pan and heat over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and cook until limp.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook.
  4. Break up the beef into pieces with back of spoon and continue cooking until lightly browned.
  5. Drain excess fat, if any.
  6. Add the fish sauce and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Add tomatoes and cook, mashing with back of spoon, until softened and release juice.
  8. Add water and bring to a boil.
  9. Lower heat, cover and cook for about 7 to 10 minutes or until beef is cooked.
  10. Add potatoes and continue to cook until tendet.
  11. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Serve hot, enjoy!.
