INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can of black gulaman (grass jelly)
- 6 cups of water (for syrup)
- 4 cups of dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 750 ml ice cold water
HOW TO MAKE:
- Start by making a simple syrup (arnibal).
- Place the 6 cups of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- When it comes to a boil, add the 4 cups of brown sugar.
- Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar dissolved.
- While stirring, simmer until the mixture thickens. Let it cool.
- Once cool, add about one and a half cup of the syrup into a pitcher with the 750 ml cold water.
- Add in the vanilla extract and stir well.
- Cut the black gulaman into small thin cubes and add into the pitcher.
- Best served cold and enjoy!
