INGREDIENTS:
- 1 & ½ lbs skirt steak
- 3 tbsp cilantro chopped
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp granulated white sugar
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
HOW TO COOK:
- Combine and mix the olive oil, garlic, cumin, cilantro, lime juice, salt, sugar, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Add the skirt steak and fully coat it with the mixture.
- Let it marinate overnight.
- Heat- up the grill and then grill both sides of the steak until it turns medium rare (do not grill for a long time so that the meat will not get tough).
- Remove the steak from the grill and then let it rest.
- Slice the Carne Asada into desired size.
- You can serve as an ingredient (quesadilla, tacos, or burritos) or eat this with rice. Enjoy!
