Pineapples & Raisins Jelly Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 large can cubed pineapple (reserve liquid)
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 2 bars red gulaman (or equivalent amount of powdered gulaman)
  • 1 large evaporated milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 & ½ cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Tear gulaman bars into small pieces and place in a large sauce pan.
  2. Add the water, the reserved liquid from pineapples, and sugar then bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer until gulaman flakes are totally dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat then add evaporated milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Place in a container or jelly mold then set aside for 5 minutes to cool down (at this stage liquid will be thicker and will start to set).
  6. Slowly add the pineapples and the raisins.
  7. Place in the refrigerator.
  8. Once cool and firm, remove from mold then serve chilled. Enjoy!
