INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup all- purpose flour, sifted
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup superfine (caster) white sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
HOW TO COOK:
- Preheat oven to 375 F or 190 C.
- Using an electric mixer, cream the softened butter.
- Gradually add the white sugar and continue mixing the two for another 2 minutes.
- Gradually stir- in the egg whites and mix for about 3 to 4 minutes more.
- Add the salt and vanilla extract.
- Gradually stir- in the flour and continue to mix for about 2 to 3 minutes more or until the mixture is well incorporated.
- Get a piping bag and install a round tip.
- Place the mixture in the piping bag.
- Line a baking tray with wax or parchment paper.
- Begin piping the mixture into the lined baking tray.
- Each piece should be about 2.5 to 3 inches in length.
- Bake in preheated oven for 9 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place in a cookie/ cooling rack until the temperature cools down.
- Place in a container of choice, serve and enjoy!
